CITIES

A number of cities are mentioned. The city of Corianth, of course, as the setting for the first volume, is extensively described as the main characters wander through and interact with it (sometimes catastrophically).

Other cities of importance are mentioned, however. Mardin is generally ranked as being second in political importance only to the city of Corianth, although Mardin is stated as being far richer ... and sunnier.

Admollan and Serrilinus are also named as being influential in terms of power, both of which are coastal ports. Canalecht is constantly referred to in condescending terms by Sirath, who constantly relates of the corruption and selfishness rampant in that place, Canalecht being a city astride the important trade route between the city of Corianth and Mardin by means of the River Induin. Corrillion is stated as being the rich capital city of the Kingdom of Lionossus. The capital of the Kingdom of Cerdona is mentioned as being Cerra.

Cities of other nations are also mentioned to varying degrees. Both Xios in Eptemia and Kariandari in Alithidel are spoken of frequently, as is Nazimah, and a larger range of others.

Certain towns and villages are also mentioned by name, but these will be dealt with in their own separate listings.
