CURRENCY

There are three main types of coin in common circulation in the Corianth Empire: the penny, the guilder, and crown, minted in alloys of copper, silver, and gold, respectively. Each type of coin is produced in both single and multiple denominations, throughout various kingdoms, under imperial supervision.

The relative values of Corianth currency are as follows:

1 gold crown = 10 silver guilders = 200 copper pennies

Exceptions to this include the rare Sephardic Crown, valued at around 20 guilders, as well as a special variant of the crown in Irithia, minted during the time of the Broken Empire but still in circulation, known as the Irithian Crown, each of which is valued at approximately 12 guilders.

Other forms of currency not native to the Corianth Empire but still used within include Eptemian Disks, as well as unfavourable Lithian coins, such as the allegedly gold Nunnet and silver Taloc. Alithidel survives mostly by barter, but where coinage is required, such as through trade with foreign peoples, highly valued stamped ingots are used.
