DINEMETIS
Chair Deacon of the College of Administrators, Father Dinemetis is feared not only by the Emperors Guard but by the current heads of the Order of Omicron itself (Siyat and Rynell). Father Dinemetis is a religious fanatic biding his time to gain full and sole control of the Order of Omicron extant. As a constant threat to Rynell's authority, Rynell has been forced into a coalition between the College of Armaments under himself, and the College of Ministers under Siyat Bren just to attempt to curb the man's rising ambitions. However, the presence of the main characters as pawns against Mulrek's plans frustrate Rynell's control, and unwittingly, Father Dinemetis is granted mounting prestige as the main characters unintentionally undermine Rynell's position.
It is not until Erin's imprisonment, however, that we first see truly the man who would vie to be the next Holy Father. Visiting the Cardinals Detention Centre for some personal purpose, Father Dinemetis tries to enlist Erin in his own schemes, pointing out that, whether he agrees or not, Erin will be tortured until Father Dinemetis is sure he has broken any individual will and gained his full compliance. |
