DUN I
Originally a career soldier and then general named Ariminios Danarios, he out-manoeuvred Porillis I for the imperial throne in 311 LC, after the removal of Ansuber, gaining quick public acceptance after dedicating the newly build stadium of Porillis I's making to Ansuber and giving it his name. With this public support, Emperor Dun I was able to found a dynasty, and although his political dealings were in a large part responsible for the period known as the Broken Empire, the male line returned to power after the suicide of Emperor Borron II in 409 LC. His dynasty lasted until 457 LC, with the murder of Emperor Dun IV.
Ariminios attributed the name change to Dun to being saved from drowning by a local Thos deity. |
