EMERIS
The name of a King of Eiom who murdered his half brother for the throne. King Emeris managed to reunite the domains of Eiom's past dependencies, a loose kingdom of sorts, after a period of civil war. However, no sooner was peace achieved then King Minan of Ithraya ordered Eiom and its colonies to bow to Ithrayan dominance. Rejecting the offer, King Emeris suddenly found himself facing a huge army on his borders. When Sephas offered to repel the invaders, he was supplied with a meagre force, intended merely to slow the invaders while repairs and defences were made to Eiom's damaged settlements and colonies. However, after Sephas successfully vanquished their foe through an alliance with the Thos, King Emeris descended into a jealous madness, and was only too eager to banish Sephas over implanted claims that he had conspired with the enemy. King Emeris was later killed during the Siege of Eiom, when Sephas returned with a vengeful army and claimed power for himself, later re-founding Eiom as the city of Corianth. |
