IRITHIA
Kingdom that was formed from the remains of Ithraya, there is still a strong remembrance of it's more glorious days, not least as the head of the Ossienic Empire. Various rulers of Irithia have struggled against the rule of the Corianth Empire, considering the city of Corianth itself to be a hovel backwater. However, serious and violent factionalism has repeatedly caused most attempts at independence to fail.
The nearest Irithia came free of the Corianth Empire was during the period known as the Broken Empire. Ironically, it was an Irithian nobleman, who took the name of Borron II, who was able to negotiate a general and immediate armistice, all kingdoms returning again to imperial rule during his reign.
The current ruler of the Kingdom of Irithia is Nicepheros Comas, who is known to be in favour of Irithian independence, and has set in motion events that may see the Broken Empire yet repeated. |
