ITHRAYA
Originally a reference to the lands around the Angellenic Sea, the tribes-people finally brought together as a political unit by the semi-mythical Ossien, about the city of Irrax, which was founded in 950 BLC. Later expanding to conquer Eptemia in the fifth century BLC, the Ithrayans then formed the Ossienic Empire, stretching also across the eastern fringes of Alithidel, and, importantly, incorporating Gallerea as a province.
After the collapse of the Ossienic Empire in 210 BLC, the region of Ithraya became a kingdom in its own right, continually warring with its large neighbour, Eptemia.
In 3 BLC, King Minan or Ithraya launched a campaign against the Eiomites, attempting to take advantage of a civil conflict to extend control of various trade and mining centres, only for his invasion force to be astonishingly defeated by one Sephas Corinathos.
Three years later, Sephas took the war to Irrax itself, where he defeated King Minan and incorporated Ithraya into his new proclaimed Corianth Empire, designating Ithraya as the Kingdom of Irithia. |
