LANAS

Skipper of the Sun Flower, Captain Lanas has agreed to undertake the shipment of arms, armour, oil, and black powder from the city of Corianth to Canalecht for distribution to various kingdoms sympathetic to the republics notion, including Anpolar, Minolar, and Athoril. Bishop Siyat Bren is present on board to supervise the loading and shipment, something he has agreed to do reluctantly, in lieu of a visit to the Bishop of Mardin. During the voyage along the River Induin to their first destination, the City of Corianth, Captain Lanas chides Siyat Bren for not granting his crew the respect they deserve, and in consequence, Captain Lanas refuses to respect either Siyat Bren's position or authority. Upon reaching the City of Corianth, Captain Lanas supervises the loading of his ship.

However, when the main characters break into the warehouse where all is being clandestinely stored, Captain Lanas, while directing his sailors to attack Ulric and Dalathos, is caught in the ensuing explosion and fire. We later learn that he was pulled alive from the water afterwards, but suffered serious burns, and has been taken to the Temple Hospital for treatment.
