LITERATURE

Like most cultures, the Corianth Empire has its own literary traditions and artistic culture, producing its own works. It has a particular place of reverence for overseas literature, especially from ancient Eptemia, most notably the momentous Deidacalion of the Eptemians, and the lesser myth cycles of Heraminion.

A number of Eptemian poets are mentioned and even quoted, such as Herminocles and Anapaxthas.

The lands of Alithidel also have their respected epics, the Jalamabadhrad especially, and another of their works popularly translated as Tale of a Thousand Suns.

Only a few works of fiction by Corianth authors are actually mentioned by name, notably the various erotic writings of Anoraxios of Admollan, though a number of historical sources are more frequently referred to, not least the King of All Lions by Jamain, and the derogatory slanders against Emperor Sephis composed by Bishop Ascalon of Serrilinus.
