MULREK
One of the conspirators, and anti-character to Ezebekial, Mulrek is the leader of an ambitious conspiracy.
Having witnessed a future apocalypse in his own time, Murek has managed to travel back in time through undisclosed means. Despite being uncertain of history, due to the ravages of a later nuclear conflict, Mulrek is convinced that if he can substitute a republic in place of the Corianth Empire during the current age (541 LC) then he can avoid all future apocalypses.
He has succeeded in gaining the majority support of the sole religion of the empire, being the Order of Omicron, through allegiance to his cause by Lord Rynell and Bishop Siyat, who themselves wish to see the leader of the third and largest college, Father Dinemetis, removed.
Mulrek also has developed support from various kingdoms, notably Athoril, Arrhenia, Minolar and Anpolar, although others, such as Cerdona, give their quiet support and clandestine aid.
Mulrek envisages that to institute a republic requires some length of civil war, and is in the process of arming his allies and other sympathetic kingdoms through the Monument Trade Route, paid for through the Panater-Arios twins, Darrion and Eirron.
Having also brought future technology with himself, he also intends to reinvigorate current scientific thinking by sharing the secret of as yet undeveloped future innovations. He has already overseen the re-development of black powder, both as a high explosive, as well as the precursor to the development of firearms.
Patient with his sometimes fractious allies, Mulrek is driven by a sense of urgency and harsh morality that sees him intent to murder to save. Highly intelligent, and aided by his future technology to protect himself, he is ready to realise the first of his achievements.
