Assumed name of the Emperor who took hold of the reigns of empire after the first civil war (125-128LC). Ophis II (ruled 125-138 LC) was elected the position by various kingdoms and nobility on the grounds that he must never found a dynasty. At his death he was replaced by one Emperor Polinos.
