Arrested and imprisoned into the Cardinals Detention Centre for stealing lunch from an officer of the Cardinals Men, Red is released from his cell along with other prisoners when the main characters find themselves trapped in the prison, after making a vain attempt to help Erin. Observing the futility of resistance and their situation, Red eventually claims to know the only form of living escape open to them all. |
