SEPHIS VI
Current Emperor of the Corianth Empire, crowned in 523 LC, he has reigned for eighteen years. His authority rests on questionable grounds, however, due to his coronation occurring after the dissolution of the position of Holy Father, and the College of Cardinals, by Wrenis, even though the Constitution of Sephis implicitly declares that any valid Emperor must be crowned by a Holy Father. This is a notorious argument that began the very period known as the Broken Empire two centuries ago.
Sephis VI, because of his uncomfortable and precarious position, has attempted few reforms throughout the Corianth Empire, settled instead to be a mere figurehead until the situation is somehow resolved by others. He is an aged and frail man who makes few public appearances. |
