SIYAT BREN

One of the conspirators, and anti-character to Erin.

Bishop of Serrilinus, High Priest of the College of Ministers, and a blatant paedophile, Siyat Bren is self-serving and selfish, less interested in the spirituality of his position as much as the power and prestige that it confers. He does, however, show loyalty to the Order of Omicron that ordained him, and has been drawn into a strategic alliance with Rynell, Lord of the College of Armaments, to prevent the rising ambitions of the Chair Deacon, Father Dinemetis. Rynell uses Siyat Bren's fears, and nostalgia for the days before Wrenis, as a tool for manipulating him into Mulrek's plans.

Siyat Bren, for his part in Mulrek's conspiracy, therefore forgoes an important meeting with the Bishop of Mardin, so that Siyat Bren may partake in supervising a supply of arms to Mulrek's political allies in unstable kingdoms. Forced by these commitments to travel the River Induin to the city of Corianth aboard the Sun Flower, Siyat Bren has to deal with denigrating his authority to the boat's skipper, Captain Lanas, and speaks of his dread in resuming his forestalled journey to Mardin aboard the Sun Flower, his plan being to rejoin his retinue in Irithia.

He is present within the warehouse where all the arms and black powder are stored for loading, when the main characters enter and disrupt the proceedings.
